They were discussing the rapid degradation of the rebar in the old factory. Our "Brotherhood" friend from Argentina was warning them about the impending structural challenges of the old building. This is the conversation that put me into a funk that day. I could see how Asbjorn simply didn't want to hear it and it was depressing to think his life's work was falling apart in spite of all his efforts.
That's depressing indeed. We had quite fundemental experiences in that factory - Asbjörn and the rebar, Asbjörn opening the windows... Life is change - and I'd like to think, that there always are possibilities...
I know that particular conversation was taking place (and was happy when I found the negative). But later, while still in the factory, I realized that it is not the outcome that is so important, but the experience of the process - the experience of that place. And we know that as well as Asbjörn does. I believe that wholeheartedly.
Cool picture, Andi. I like that gesture...

ReplyDeleteSo in the end, it's still about the hands. The beauty of the hands. Look at Klaus's hand. I love it.
