Planet Iceland - The Film

(c) 2011 Danni

Iceland unplugged II - Planet Iceland.
What an adventure it was to explore planet Iceland and encounter those trolls!
Listen to our voices and enjoy...!

The film also includes a special moment for Andi and me - after spending one day photographing in the darkness of the Djupavik Herring Factory, Asbjörn opened one of the boarded-up windows for the first time in years...watch the light radiating into the darkness.

Stay tuned...

I'm still overhelmed by the majestic places, we experienced together and the ideas and perspectives we exchanged. All of that I've collected in a chaos of shaky, low resolution video clips....can't waste that stuff. Trying to put them together to one of the well-known videos. Be prepared for the worst but expect the best ... I'm working on it....

The Alexanders

It is Born

It is Born

By Pablo Neruda

Here I came to the very edge

where nothing at all needs saying,

everything is absorbed through

weather and sea,

and the moon swam back,

its rays all silvered, and time and again the darkness

would be broken

by the crash of a wave,

and every day on the balcony of

the sea,

wings open, fire is born,

and everything is blue again

like morning.

Catching a Glimpse of the Wool Factory

(c) 2011 Danni

Curious about those broken buildings nearby the rainbow church, I looked through doors and windows, finding wool and wood. It was very tempting to go inside. Considering the building's condition, I didn't take the risk, though...

Mossy footprints

end of the line

(sorry about the "darkness", but it wasn't allll waterfalls & rainbows)

The Grand Tour - Final Cut

I've taken a crash course in 3 new programs over the last 2 weeks while working on this movie. You've all seen the rough cut, but there's a few new edits along with title and credits. Happy to burn a DVD for any of you that want one. Hope it is a good souvenir of a wonderful trip!
